CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

In relation to the ongoing pandemic we thought it would be useful for our clients to be made aware of any changes to the services we are able to provide.

To ensure that all our staff members remain fit and well and to allow them to be able to continue to provide services we have made the decision to limit office access to the public and the majority of our staff are working remotely with the office being manned and accessed for essential use only. Going forward contact will be conducted via telephone, video conference, email and letters.

All other aspects of our services currently remain the same. We are still able to provide you with advice, assistance and representation and you can contact us 24 hours a day on 0161 833 1600.

Courts

The majority of Court hearings are currently proceeding via telephone or video link and arrangements are being made with both the Magistrates Court and Crown Court to ensure they have the correct information for this to be put in place.

If you have a hearing coming up within the next 2 weeks you will hear from us in due course detailing any changes to this. We will then begin to distribute correspondence in relation to hearings listed from Monday 6th April 2020 onwards.

Should there be any changes to your case we will be sure to update you in relation to this as soon as possible ensuring you are kept up to date with the progress of your case.

Police Stations

At this present time, we can continue to provide you with representation at Police Stations. We would advise you to inform the police station if you have been experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) or should you begin to.

Prisons

All prisons in England and Wales are currently closed for visitors meaning that for the time being regrettably we will be unable to attend upon you personally in the usual way. Communication will be via telephone where available, video link where available and email where available. Correspondence with further information in relation to this will be sent out in due course.

Should you have any queries or concerns in relation to the above or your case please do not hesitate to contact Amy Broad on 0161 833 1600 or [email protected].

We hope you are all well and continue to be throughout the current health crisis and we will ensure this statement is kept up to date with any changes.
